sol.

in windows explorer some of the font colors of the
filenames are black and some are blue. I would like all of
the filename text to be black. Is there a setting where i
can make this change. on the appearance tab in the display
properties different display properties can be changed but
it looks like these do not change the filename text color.
thank you.

Sol,

Normally, the Compressed or Encrypted Files are displayed in Color for easy
identification. To disable the feature:

Double-click Folder Options in Control Panel.
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Click Appearance and Themes, and then click Folder Options.
On the View tab, click to select the Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files
in color check box.

Deselect the option.
