Hello...

I have an Abit AB9 Pro Mb running Windows XP Pro with 4GB of RAM, when I
plug-in my 32GB Apple iTouch it is not recognized at all!!! Like I never
even plugged it in... I have tried everything I can think of... Like
verifying that I am indeed pluging into the USB 2.0 Ports on the back of the
computer, updating all of the neccessary drivers and MB bios and still
NOTHING! Anyone have any thoughts??? Please help... I know as popular as
the iTOUCH is I am sure there are plenty of folks out here that must have
come across this issue so please someone speak up if you have knowledge
about what it takes to resolve this issue...

Regards, Martin

The device should spark some sort of detection process, even if it fails.
If it isn't doing this, it points to a hardware issue.

Plug the iTouch into another system, using *the same cable*. Is it
recognised?

If it isn't, try another cable. If that doesn't work either, contact Apple
for warranty service or replacement.

When I plug the iTouch in it actually sparks NO detection process.. this is
the frustrating part... It does nothing when plugged in.. although there are
several other USB devices running with no issues...

I did plug it into a MAC desktop (using the same cable) and it was reconized
instantly and was ready to sync with iTunes!!! What next? Thank you for
your reply I look forward to more with hopefully a resolution as I really am
perplexed and dont have a clue what up with this... One other thought I
have is to buy a well supported USB/PCI card and see if it will recognize
the iTouch...
