XP vs 2000 for gaming?

Get an X-Box. Computers are for computing, not playing games, especially
not an operating system suffixed with "Professional."

I use XP and love it, but the first thing I do on any XP install is turn off
the bright shiny Fisher Price interface.
 
Hate to tell ya this Ray but if it wasn't for PC games driving hardware
development, you'd still be using a terminal emulator and a monochrome
screen.

for non-gamers, i.e. Matrox.

And their motivation is competing with companies who do. :) They CAN't
allow themselves to fall too far behind, no company can, really, unless
they specilize. So the gaming influence in technology even pushes the
companies who aren't playing. (pun intended)
