During the final steps of the upgrade, I get a "Windows Installation has
Failed, please restart the computer message". This kind of left me a bit
screwed...so I just reformatted the drive and did a clean install hoping to
get the problem sorted out after installation.
Now, I'm in Vista but I can't activate it because I had a "upgrade version",
not a clean install version.
Is there a way to get in touch with Microsoft (without paying $59.00) to get
this figured out? Or do I have to go reinstall XP, then attempt the upgrade
again? Personally I don't see what the problem is, I'm holding my legit copy
of Vista in my hand, I have paid for it, and I'm currently using it - for 30
days??
Thanks!
