XP VB2005 & SQL Server 2005 Express (if that matters).
Randomly VB was hanging at seemingly any event - Debug - Save Files -
Build - ReBuild - tried deleting CurrentSettings.vssettings - thought
it was working - but NO.
Changed Options/Help/Online/Try local first, then online
to Options/Help/Online/Try local only, not online.
NO hangup since - any experience like this anyone?
Is it me & my configuration & my computer OR Microsoft? Curious.

It sounds like your workstation is not set to use the .NET development
environment properly. You should look at XP's pagefile size configuration
usage. I had some similar problems with debugging with the IDE, hang-ups
and other such things at a company, because the pagefile size controlled by
XP on all machines was to small and was not set to "auto" pagefile size to
allow XP to increase its size as needed.
