Hi All,

I am thinking of upgrading my laptop to Vista and, would like to know what
version of vista i would need 32bit or 64bit etc.

The laptop is generally used for home use only.

It depends on your processor do you have a 32 or a 64?
If you have a 64bit your processor sticker should tell you, and or your
current XP license is it 64 bit?
I digress though, a 32bit OS will be more compatable and will run fine on a
64bit proc.

By the way don't install Vista on the laptop, *you will regret it*.

Hi Peter,

You will want to check with the manufacturer to make sure the laptop is
compatible with Vista and that all Vista drivers, utility's and BIOS updates
are available at there web site for download before attempting the upgrade.

How old is this laptop?
