XP Upgrade problems

I am busy upgrading from XP Home to XP Prof. but during
the install the computer hangs at the device driver
install at 35 min left. I tried restarting but it always
gets to that point and hangs. How do I know what device is
causing the problem or how do I get around this problem.

Did you make sure to boot your hard drive, and not
the XP CD again at the first reboot during the install?
