XP Updates and Video Capture problem using Pinnacle Moviebox DV f

Somwhere in the process of updating XP I have encountered an update that
killed any video capture using any capture software and Pinnacle Moviebox DV
firewire version. I have narrowed the problem down after reloading aboput 12
times to a handful of possible updates.

I dont know which one but I'm extreemly angry that no one takes any
responsibility for this issue. Pinnacle says Microsoft is responsible for
changing functionality, Microsoft wont listen to the problem.
Does anyone have any help/ideas/anything that will allow me to continue to
use my capture device and continue getting microsoft updates. Right now I
need to get it working again. Has anyone encountered this sort of annoyance??

I too cannot capture into pinnacle or moviemaker & think it has to do with
sp2 updates. However unlike you I have not been able to narrow it down at
all. On startup I get a message that vhkntdll.dll is missing but I don't
know if this is related.
I have spent a lot of time on the phone with pinnacle tech support but have
not gotten anywhere yet.
