XP Update knocked out my wireless

The last two Update Downloads knocked out my internet availability. I am using a wireless USB (Netgear 802.11b) and up until the downloads it was working fantastic. Now, the wireless itself & the router show connectivity, but the configuration is all wrong and I cannot connect to the internet. We've tried everything - - including removing the WEP , but nothing seems to work.

The time before this, the update knocked out only the security WEP and I had to reset it. With this download, it's completely gone.

Any ideas?

Remove hotfix 826942 and you will be set.

If you want to keep the hotfix (if it solves any particular issues for
you) then you have to update your wireless card and router to be able to
support WPA, the new protection/encryption scheme.
