xp uninstall

Hi folks
have xp installed in c:\windows and h:\windows now want to completely! remove version on c: cos 2 options showing
up on startup.
no access to c:\windows from H:
please someone give me a hint

Hi,

You mean you get "access denied" when you try to access the C:\Windows
folder from the H: installation? Take ownership, then delete it. Then, go to
the control panel/system/advanced tab, click on startup & recovery settings,
then on the edit button. Remove the line referencing the unwanted
installation from the [operating systems] section. Close saving changes,
then apply/ok your way out.

To take ownership of them, right-click the folder, select properties. Go to
the security tab and click advanced. You can take control of the folders on
the owner tab. For the security tab to appear in a WinXP Pro system, you
must disable simple file sharing in the control panel/folder options/view
tab. For a WinXP Home system, you must restart in safe mode and logon as
administrator. More details here:
