xp tries to install on vista?

i just got a new notebook from compaq and the first time i started the
computer the xp setup wizard popped up. the notebook is supposed to have
vista on it, but it wont start.
please help?!

Contact Compaq for warranty support.

Yep, someone at the factory must have screwed up...
but first check the DVD drive to make sure someone did not leave an XP cd in
there.

Contact whomever you got the machine from. They put the wrong image on it.
