xp to 2k remote

I have a network that has a workgroup that has 3 2k pcs the rest are in a
domain on same network. is it possible to use remote desktop from the xp pcs
to the 2k pcs??

Yes, if those 2k PCs run Windows 2000 Server OS.
 
They can take control over your desktop if you install Windows Messenger on
them but you can't take control of their desktops.

So to confirm, i want to take control of the 2k pro pc from my xp pc. all i
need to do is install messenger on 2k pc and take control using ip adress of
2k pc from xp machine?
 
Not using Remote Desktop. An alternative is UltraVNC. Get the server, client
and encryption software from...

I didn't say anything about messenger.

You can run Netmeeting desktop share though....
