xp temp file help +

Hi all,
I really need some help.
My nieces computer will not download with ie6.0.
the box appears but no downloading, also can
not get in to repair tools for I.E., just hangs, plus
temp internet file under tools can not be reset,
view file access is denied and error no vender pref.
on all help box's....
I think it would be best to fdisk and reinstall but she
just has system restore disk

I still use 98se myself

Dont forget that with XP you can restore the PC back to a condition before
the problems arose (without using restore disks). 'Start, All Programs,
Accessories, System Tools, System restore'

Do you have any free ISP Cds or PC cover mag Cds?They usually contain
a version of IE 6 if you open them up.You can try to install one of
these to re-gain the IE repair options.
