XP Taskbar - Address Bar Seems To Be Unavailable

I am trying to activate the address bar which works just fine on a number of
other xp machines that I use.

On this machine it does not appear on the list of available toolbars when i
try and change my taskbar properties.

Anyone know where it might be hiding????

is probably the reason why.

Thanks for that Martin, it was a very interesting thread with several
options and,by the look of it, a number of possible pitfalls.

I tried a temporary fix that works fine until reboot and will explore a
couple of the more permanent solutions shortly.
