I had to re-instal XP the other night and I think that I
gave it some information that has resulted in Windows XP
Pro taking 10minutes to start.
During installation, I entered a Username of SysAdm and a
corresponding password.
After installation XP started straight away and
automatically logged on as SysAdm. I then created User
Accounts and a new Administrator Account. I rebooted the
machine and instead of giving me a list of accounts from
which to choose, XP Pro automatically logged on as
SysAdm. Hardly satisfactory. I removed SysAdm account
and then rebooted. It took 10mins for XP to start and
then came up with the list of User Accounts from which I
could select.
I think the delay is that the machine is timing out
trying to log on as SysAdm.
How do I fix this? Is there a registry hack?
