Help! My LAN connection and Speaker icon will not come up in my sys tray
when I boot up. I can get the speaker icon up but no matter what I
do the LAN icon won't come up. Any help or ideas?

Thanks

Right click on the Taskbar and select Properties. At the bottom of the
Taskbar tab click on Customize. Do you Find your Lan icon on the list? If
not, then it is not a icon intended for the Notification area of the
Taskbar. If you do, is it labeled always hide?
If so, select it and choose one of the other options from the dropdown list.

Thanks Don - But It was working Friday afternoon. It is my work laptop
and it was at work turned off until this AM. It isn't listed in the
taskbar- customize- properties. Any other ideas???

Tech, I'm sure you know that it may be setup to only show up when
connected, and I assume you are using that connection to post these
messages, so you must be connected.

Have you double-checked that "Show icon in notification area when
connected" is in deed checked (Local Area Connection properties) ?
