xp system restore fails

several attempts to restore system to previous date all
fail. about half way through the process, aborts and
displays screen that says failed to restore that day,
choose another day. same results when choose another day.
pleae help.

From a command prompt type: chkdsk[space]/F[space]>C:\config.txt[enter].
Checkdisk will send its report to the file C:\config.txt. Open this in
notepad, copy the text, paste into a response to this message.
