One of our Dells wouldn't boot today - The windows start screen comes up with
the blues dots moving across, but it gets to a point and hangs.
I was able to boot in safe mode, and found that it appears the print spool
part of windows is damaged. When I went to do a test printout it said there
was no printer installed, and when I went into control panel I got an error
message on trying to install a new printer.
I am planning tomorrow on booting off the System cd, and then trying to run
the Repair Windows procedure. Is there any trick to doing that - I haven't
done it for a long time. Or would there be a better way to fix this problem?
All replies appreciated.
