We had to reformat. Now when XP loads starting from the moment the Windows
XP logo appears to the log in screen now takes 3+ minutes. We have tried
msconfig which didn't have an affect. All updates have been done and we
have current drivers.

Any suggestions will be appreaciated.

Try defragmenting your hard drive. This process reorganizes the data on
your hard drive to improve efficiency. It can help to provide a speed boost.

You might try to diagnose the problem with BOOTVIS.EXE.
Google for download locations.
