I have two computers with XP Home.
When I turn power on one computer boots up staright to the desktop and the
other brings up a screen with my name and I have one more step to get the
desktop. I am the only user and I do need it.
I presume that it is a matter of simple settings but what are they?
Thanks

Thank you.
What does it mean "For Windows XP Home, don't try to auto-login as the
built-in Administrator, as you'll receive an error message." ?
I am the only of this computer and I do not want to use any passwords. I
just want to turn power on and have the comuter to boot up to the desktop.
How to achieve it?

You achieve it by following the directions at the website I already gave
you. Use a null (blank) password. There is always a built-in Administrator
account. Make sure that you put *your* user account in as the account to
automatically log into and not "Administrator" since the built-in
Administrator account in XP Home is only accessible from Safe Mode. If you
don't know what your user account is, go to the User Accounts applet in
Control Panel and look. It could be your name if you set it up like that or
it could be a generic "owner" or the like.
