Hi folks
I have this problem with my computer that has just
started. Every now and then when I start the machine it
shows the message "non system disk" (or something very
similar)press any key to continue. If I hit reset
it "normally" starts ok. I also seem to remember that I
also get a double bleep from the machine. Can you
help .malcolm
..

sounds like your hard drive is firing up too slow.
in some bios you can set a time delay to wait for the hd to start.
it`s not related to winxp imo... :)

Your hard drive may be going bad. If it is slow to spin up it isn't reading
properly when being accessed; when you hit reset it has more time to get up
to speed. Might start thinking about replacement.
