XP Start-Up Disk Issues

I am installing XP and downloaded the startup disks off
Microsofts website. Upon installing the startup disks,
while loading disk #5, the error: ntfs.sys (4103) error
in line 5025 d:\xpspl\base\boot\setup\setup.c. Is
displayed and aborts the installation of the startup
disks. Can you suggest a way to fix this?? Your help is
greatly appreciated.

my work around was to us one of the floppy's that were
already coppied.. and saving and backing them up in HD...
it's easier to create boot floppies that boot CD's
remember your dos...

Also suggest scandisk and defrag for HD errors
