Hi,
How can I increase the size of the Windows XP Start Menu?
I'm not refering to the "All Programs" section, but the entire left-hand
side (Where you see your recent programs, and pinned items.)

Thanks for any insight.

If your using the Classic Start menu, change the name of something to a
really long name.

Thanks for the help.
Unfortunately, it wasn't any help. I was refering to the "new" start menu in
XP (With "My Documents","My Pictures","My Music" and "My Computer" to the
right, recent documents to the left along with permanently "pinned" items.

This left side (Which the pinned items,) is the part I'm referring to. I'd
like to know how to increase the width of it, so the text of programs don't
wrap around.

Is there a way to do this? Why hasn't Microsoft provided much
customizability for this new Start Menu? I mean, the start menu is great but
there's ZERO customization support...

Did you right click on the task bar for properties and go through the
options available under "CUSTOMIZE" for the start menu? There isn't a lot
but one of the things that people often overlook is the ability to scroll
programs. The Program list gets filled up and goes off the screen and it can
be changed by using the "scroll programs" option. You will also have the
options for large or small icons (although not, of course, for the start
menu width, sorry) and for some of the things to have show or not show on
the start menu.
I hope this helps.
