From within my home network, I can connect just fine from my laptop to my
desktop, using the desktop's IP address. Sometimes (like today), if I
connect via my desktop's domain name (to make the connection go out to the
Internet and back, simulating an on-the-road situation), RD connects fine,
but the screen doesn't fully repaint and RD keeps dropping the connection
and reconnecting.
I can Telnet to my desktop's port 3389 using its public domain name, so I do
have connectivity. (As also shown by the initial RD appearance of my
desktop's screen.) But why would the connection immediately get dropped and
endless reconnect cycles happen?
Thanks,
Charles
