XP SP3 Object or class does not support.....

Some time ago, I read of the problems surrounding XP SP3 and A2003 and so did
not install until a few days ago...I now wish I hadn't! I installed
hotfix945674 as recommended. However, I immediately found that 1/2 my dbases
no longer work. I've already spent several hours trying to work out what's
going on but, I'm ready to uninstall and re-install upto SP2 in the hope I
can recover the "damage". Even if I copy from a backup made prior to the
install I still have the same problem.

"Object or class does not support the set of events"

is the error I get in numerous forms when an event is fired but, not all
forms and not all events even though dbases are very similar and many forms
identical. Even the dbases I think are ok may have the same problem (it
would take me a while to test comprehensively).

The fact that it does not affect all I guess indicates individual dbases are
corrupted. I've tried uncompilling, recompiling but, to no avail. I'm at a
loss to understand why I would get such apparent "random" corruption. I have
been running A2003 and A2007 quite happily together on the same PC but, could
this dual install be the source of the problem? Can anyone asisst with a
reason why and the best course of action to recover? Any and all help
appreciated.

Posted to close this issue. The fix was simple in the end! The SP3 install
had switched the reference from 11.0 Object Library to 12.0 Object Library.
Hence I was encountering strange things when running A2003 (the one I use 95%
of time). All I had to do was fire up A2007 then fire up A2003 and the
Windows Installer corrected the Reference.
