acording to a lind that Vrodok the Troll supplied (

free-for-all. The last time i Checked (this afternoon), it was still in
Beta. Is it now complete? Where?

nah, its not quite ready yet. that news basically states that when sp2
*is available, even people using pirated copies of xp will be able to
use it.

with sp1, they 'blacklisted' some of the pirate serials so bad little
boys and girls couldn't install it. however, now they're supposedly
concerned over all the new threats because of the presence of all
their old holess so they feel that *everyone out there should be
secure. go fig. *shrug*

yeah, but this is based on known, blacklisted serials. as it was with
sp1, simply use the key discovery tool to generate a unique and
un-blacklisted key. (if you need to, that is...)

i'd imagine *some unfortunates out there actually paid for xp...
