I looked at the list and didn't see anything I'd need. I noticed too many MS
apps there. WTF??? ;)

Most of those applications are out of date versions.

Yes, it is difficult to interpret what do do with this info.
As MS says, search the knowledge base for the program.
Look at the Application's site.
Don't expect to find much of anything.

Remember these are apps that MAY have a problem.

Many problems have to do with the XP firewall,
so if you have been using a 3rd party firewall already,
you probably won't have a problem.

Also, a batch of the Office application problems
are caused because the WordPad rtf converter is
off by default in SP2. Go figure. It's easy to turn it back on.

The worst actor may be Visual Studio. Sorry about that, Microsoft.

Do your homework on apps. Install SP2. Uninstall if there
is a serious problem. Fix app. Reinstall SP2. Find another
app if you can't fix the old one. This is just a fact of life
with OS upgrades.

If you support a bunch of computers, test
on a non-critical computer, wait to install SP2 on the others
until you decide any problem is fixed. Be glad that Microsoft
has provided a reason for the boss not to fire you.

Do you want upgrade to fantastic, super-secure, "Windows XP Second
Edition"???

Yes I want!

Then your Office 2003 purchased last week it's obsolete!!!
You have to upgrade ($$$$) to the latest Office 2005 "Windows XP Second
Edition Ready"
and so on: Norton Antivirus 2005 (that here in Italy we call Morton -
Morto = Death
that pick every kind of virus....better: it is a virus....)
