Everyone,

I read and followed all the steps from this forum and nothing worked. The
only thing that solved it was to remove XP SP2. IE was working before until
I decide to install it.

Keep in mind that I had Norton Firewall and Scansweeper which I'm sure they
didn't contribute to this issue.

This was a headache so if you have this problem with not being able to
access any website and it tells you that it can't find the site then stop and
uninstall SP2. None of the suggest from previous posting worked.

Good Luck and hope this helps out.

Rather, *hijackware* already running in WinXP SP1 is exposed by installing
SP2 and then the hijackware "breaks" IE.

If Scansweeper is an anti-virus, it probably caused the problem. Remove SP2
from Add/Remove Programs, turn off anti-virus programs and re-install.
