I have a strange problem on winxp sp2 whenever I reach a page with adverts
especially java applets, and popup unders such as brought to you by blinkx
99% of the time the entire desktop freezes to the extent that I can't click
on anything, I can press control alt and delete, and see the processes icon
in the systray but I can't click on it, the mouse can move but I can't click
on anything, only solution is to reboot, it didn't use to do this, is this a
known problem? Or is there a manual way of closing a program/windows (in
this case
firefox) with any other than control, alt and delete, and then navigating
to the firefox.exe processes, I have also tried control and F4, as well as
alt and F4 when this freezing happens.
