XP-SP 2 Setup Error Question

I have XP home edition and i am trying to upgrade to SP 2. About half way
through the installation, i get a message that says "Service Pack 2 Setup
Error - Access is Denied". Then it only gives me the option to undo all of
the changes that have been made. It then proceeds to delete all of the files
that it just downloaded. Any advise on what the problem might be?
