XP slow since loading critical patch

Since loading the new critical patch my computer has been
achingly slow. I know it is the patch as no one else in
my workgroup has loaded it yet and they are all fine.

Has anyone else had this problem 0 and hoiw can I fix it?
 
Try uninstalling the latest Windows Update KB828028 (go
to Add and Remove Programs in the Control Panel), reboot,
and then see if you still have the problem.

Did you install KB828028, the latest security patch? I did, same problem as you described. Deinstalling doesn't change anything. Anyone any idea??
