my machine arrives at a blue screen declaring it will shut down to protect windows and the machine during a reinstall. The message correlates to a file called ezusb.sys; which I believed to have deleted from the machine before the reinstall. THe problem is that i am unable to get back into the OS, at all, even in safe mode, while XP directs itself to continue setup, despite hitting a roadblock everytime. What do you do?

Try deleting and recreating the partition and format.
