My Computer is an IBM with an IBM Keyboard which includes in the top RH
corner, a set of 5 buttons relating to Sound/CD etc etc.
There are 4 buttons in a circle plus a bar across the centre which was the
sound volume adjustment.
Under Win ME it was fine but now I've changed to XP all it does is produce a
Calendar when I try to adjust volume up or down.

BTW, having to adjust sound using the volume icon in the Systray is slow as
hell and cumbersome. If I can't link the bar mentioned above, how do I
adjust volume quickly in XP?

A description of the keyboard is not sufficient to know which one you are
using (unless IBMs makes very few keyboards). Look on the bottomside of the
keyboard where you should find a sticker with the model number. The go to
http://www.ibm.com/support/us/all_download_drivers.html to find the software
that should've have been included with the keyboard to support all the
multimedia functions.
