XP Service patch 2

After installing the recent critical update for XP, my
symantec antivirus program will not allow me to set the
program for auto e-mail scanning. The message reads
urgent! scanning e-mail error! How do I proceed to
enable this function?
 
If you have run LiveUpdate and this does not correct the error, then simply
contact Symantec Support. You do not state which version of NAV you are
using, but apparently only 2004 is compatible with SP2.

I don't know about that, I'm running NSW '02 and Norton's Internet Security
'02 on two systems without issue.
 
Have you tried an uninstall/reinstall of NAV? I've had to use this method in
the past to resolve problems with NAV prior to installing SP2. Also, check
the Symantec support site.
