I installed service pack 2 on my windows xp pro computer,
and now my wallpaper is white. I am connected to a LAN
with a windows 2000 server, pushing down group policies.
The policy states that the wallpaper is "none" and the
desktop has always been blue in color. now with sp2
installed the background is white (during boot up it
flashs blue then switches to white). I do not want to
force a picture on the desktops, I just want the blus
color back. Is there any fix to this?
Thanks

Are you using a theme changer, Visual Styles, or Windows Blinds? If
you are, there's a new patch available for uxtheme.dll that must be
applied before you can use it with SP2. SP2 breaks the old version.

Thank you...to follow your suggestion I actually had to upgrade to NAV
2004, which seems a bit sluggish, but you are right...Windows Security
Center is now recognizing NAV as running correctly.

Thanks for the tip!
