I am new to XP, and I have loaded all of the critical
updates. I was wondering if these contained the Service
Pack 1-a.
How do I check to see if this was in fact loaded with all
of the updates that I installed when I started XP?
Thanks

Right click on My Computer. On the General tab under System, Service Pack 1
should be listed if it is installed. You can also go to Start
Button/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Information, for this and
other information.

Wow, too early in the morning. Left out Properties. Right click on My
Computer. Then click on Properties. On the General tab under System, Service
Pack 1 should be listed if it is installed.

Hi,
In IE, click "Help", then "About Internet Explorer". Look
at "Update Versions." All updates should be listed.

Reread what the OP said. He wasn't asking about IE updates, he was asking
about Windows XP updates. The "advice" you gave will only show IE updates.
