XP & SCREEN RESOLUTION

I cannot find a happy medium on the XP screen resolution.
If I leave it on the default I can adjust most things to
where I can see them but some of the messages that pop up
are so small I can't read them at all. When I go to My
Comp and right click on properties the sign I get on the
screen is so small I cannot read that. I have gone thru
the accessibility wizard also and adjusted things but some
things (messages and some info I request when I right
click on properties)is to small to read. I have gone to a
different resolution on the screen and everything gets so
big it's miserable to work with. Also I have notice the
pastel colors are hard to see and I have tried changing
the colors and contrast which doesn't help much. I would
appreciate any ideas. I am 66 years old and had no
problems with 98 other than it crashed all the time. Many
thanks in advance for any advice. Sasysam

Do you wear glasses for anything, especially reading? If yes and you are
having trouble finding a happy medium, you might need a pair of glasses
specifically for working at your monitor. You might want to talk to your
optometrist about this.

OK, you had no problem with Windows 98, are you using the same monitor and
screen resolution with XP as you used with 98?
