XP Safe Mode Lose Display Settings

I like to run some anti-malware in Safe Mode but I lose my display settings
upon restart and have to do a Sys Restore/Restart to get them back.

Is there a way to avoid this nuisance?

I don't get your, "rooster (fish)", innuendo; unless it is an oblique
reference to my, "munged" addie. But, no matter. Perhaps one of the, "q's"
in you handle alludes to, 'ludes', or 'quirky'.

I do appreciate your advice but, why would my XP-Home require a new graphics
driver if this phenomenon wasn't a characteristic of the original
installation?

As far as I can tell, my Device Manager has updated all my XP Drivers as it
does for everyone as a matter of routine. If you know something the rest of
us don't, please to advise.

Happpy trails,

Perhaps I missunderstand but if youre saying you upgraded hw drivers using
win update I would suggest you installed drivers from your vid.card manu web
site, for desktop or laptop manu web site.
Personnally I wouldnt dream of using a winupdate driver as there has been
too many problems with them

enough of your nonsense. The only person you're fooling is your foolish
self with your foolish 'logic'.

Computers and their problems can only be described with technical
language. You haven't really raised any argument there talking about
characteristics and new graphics drivers.

You're saying it's a recent problem. So maybe another program corrupted
your graphics drivers.

As far as I can tell, my Device Manager has updated all my XP Drivers as it
does for everyone as a matter of routine.

Windows XP doesn't routinely update the drivers for all your devices.
And they're not necessarily drivers built into XP. It looks like you
haven't had any experience building computers.

If you know something the rest of
us don't, please to advise.

I know some things everybody else knows and you don't

Just because you who have no experience, and do not know or understand
many things of this nature, does not mean that it's nonsense or nobody
else knows it or understands it.
