Hi - I'm new to this board and just wanted to say that I hope everyon
is as friendly and nice as they are on the other boards that I hav
been on.

Okay - When I reboot my computer and try entering boot options(f8
nothing happens. I thought this was odd at first so I tried to ente
my bios(delete) and still nothing happend. Does anyone know if someon
I could have disabled these options in windows XP professional? I jus
want to enter safe mode so i can change my boot screen, but I realiz
that if I have a serious problem and need to run from the CD, ente
safe mode, or change my boot sequence, I am going to have a bi
problem.

I've tried to restart and even power off numerous times, and stil
nothing happens. This is all very odd to me because about 2 weeks ag
I was able to enter both safe mode and my bios with no problem. An
help would be more then appreciated.

Thanks
Hayde

Some systems are just so fast, you have to be very quick to tap F8 at the
right time. Also, if you have a keyboard with the F-Lock function, press
and hold F-Lock while tapping F8.

If still no luck, use Start> Run> MSCONFIG> Boot.ini. Select the /Safeboot
option. Restart the computer. It will load to Safe Mode. Before leaving
SafeMode, uncheck the box for /Safeboot.
