Hi,
Running XPSP1a with an ATI 9800SE with Catalyst 3.10 drivers.
For some reason now every time XP restarts, it's back to 640x480. I've
checked everything I can think of (not much :(), but cannot work out why
this happens.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Have you got the right monitor drivers installed and is XP detecting
your monitor at boot time?

Sounds like safe mode, xp doesn't ussualy go below 800x600 except that.
Maybe a botched driver install? Try downloading the drivers again and using
the ati uninstaller before re-installing.

I'd check for viruses and test the RAM with MemTest86 3.0 just in case.

Thanks for the repsonses. Thought it might be a known problem. I've
already tried most of those things. Driver reinstall, etc., etc.
I'll just reinstall XP <sigh>
Cheers.

SOunds to me like a driver problem, xp doesn't normally go below 800x600
except in safe mode. If you have an ati card unistall the cp and drivers
then reboot into safe mode, run the driver uninstaller then reinstall the
driver.
