I am building a new computer and wan to install the copy
of XP that I own. I was told that since I have activated
it on my old computer I can't ues it on the new one.
Am I going to be able to use this copy? And if so how do
I go about activating it again? Does it requier contacting
Microsoft?

Greetings --

Assuming a retail license (OEM licenses are _not_ transferable),
simply remove WinXP from the computer it is currently on, and install
it onto the new one. If it's been more than 120 days since you last
activated that specific Product Key, you'll most likely be able to
activate via the Internet without problem. If it's been less, you
might have to make a 5 minute phone call.

Here are the facts pertaining to activation:

With the details you have given, you can use this copy for the new system
under these conditions.

1. It must be a Retail licensed copy and not an OEM version.
2. It must be uninstalled from the old computer.
