Xp repair oem

Hi,
Is it possible to do a "repair" with an OEM disk? I also have a retail disk
from another computer that I had . If I can't use the OEM for repair, can I
use the retail disk (not in use anymore)?

if it's actually a Windows XP disk and not a recovery disk, then yes.
 
Careful, if the retail version is prior to SP2, and, you have SP2 installed
now.
