Hi,
As you did a reinstall rather than a repair, you will need to reinstall your
software. Data housed in the old profiles should be copied over to the new
ones, as you will no longer be able to log them on. A reinstall essentially
creates a new instance of WinXP, and this creates new security identifiers.
The old ones will not be recognized.
Next time, do a repair installation, see:

You might also try booting the CD, starting the installer (as described in
the above link) and seeing if it offers to repair the original installation.
This may allow you to recover with your programs and data intact.
