When I power up my computer, the high speed internet is activated and
presumably checks for virus updates and windows updates. Recently, I think
it also goes to a site that changes my registry so that alpha-search becomes
my internet home page and adds a number of porno sites to everyone's
favorites list. Does anyone know how I can find out where my machine goes at
startup and how I can get rid of this new problem with alpha-search.
Thanks. Bill

Start>>Run>>type regedit>>OK.This gets you into the Registry.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>>Software>>Microsoft>>Windows>>CurrentVersion.Click on
the word Run, not on the + sign. Look in the right pane to see if there is
anything relating to your problem..You could also delete all you Temporary
Internet files & clear your Cookies. Clear your History and run a spyware
program...
