XP recovery deleted all my media files..Please help

l had to do a recovery on my computer, but unfortunately all of my media
files disappeared and cannot be found. The problem is that they are still
taking up harddrive space (Approx 17 Gb).

How can l either retrieve them or delete them fully and regain the disk space?
l am running XP Media Centre Edition

Where exactly are they?

Log in in Safe Mode as Administrator and search the drive for them. As
well, check the Disk Management utility to see if there's another partition
with no name.
