Whenever I am downloading something when I click on a ftp
link XP reboots. I have up-to-date virus definitions and
appear to be clear of any viruses... and regularly use
Adaware for spyware.. I can download anything
otherwise... just not from ftp sites.
If anyone can point me in the right direction as to what
the problem maybe I would be so grateful

Thank you so much for your reply Ron... I apologise for
the double post it wasn't intentional... I did what you
said and here is the stop message at the blue screen:

[Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is
properly installed, ask you hardware or software
manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.
If problems continue remove any new software or hardware.

I have not installed any new hardware I have installed a
few older pc games and share freeware programs recently
but I've since uninstalled most of it. This problem is a
recent development. The computer is only 18 months old
and I think most of my programmes: IE, Nortons AntiVirus
and OE for instance are up to date. I know my way around
most programs but when it come to the inner workings of
computers I'm not too good.

Hope you can help.
Thanks
Debz

One further point - the message mentions Netpeeker.sys which is an
unknown file (Google does find one reference to it but that is on a
restricted access site).

However it might be (probably is) related to Netpeeker which is
reportedly a firewall and spyware blocker program; but one that I have
never heard of before. http://www.net-peeker.com/

If you have this software installed on your computer then I suggest
that you uninstall it and/or contact the program manufacturer's
technical support for assistance with this error.

Good luck
