Hi,

Sorry if this is a repost, I can't see my original. I have a mainboard w/no
floppy controler. Is there a way to add raid drivers to the xp pro cd, and
have them automatically install? Or is there a way to modify setup to be
able to look for raid drivers on another type of medium?

Thanks

the xp cd can't be writen to but you can download drivers
and write them to a cd-r if the driver is zipped extract
them to a folder and include the extracted files on your
cd-r

its easyer to update the drivers after xp is installed
and running thats what i had 2 do

Please avoid answering questions when you don't know what you're talking
about.

1. XP will not allow you to browse any other type of device, other than a
floppy, when installing a raid controller driver.

2. Please explain to me how you were able to install xp and then switch it
over to the controller. Were you using raid 1? I know I didn't say it, but
I figured it was obvious that raid 0 was my desired goal.

3. Yes you can write to the windows xp cd. As a matter of fact, I've used a
process called slipstreaming (created by microsoft) to add sp1 automatically
during installation. It's called a burner.

4. I'm not trying to be mean, I just wanted to illustrate that you may not
want to answer questions unless you are very sure of the answer. Guesses
are not helpful in this type of forum.
