When I save an HTML graphic and text page from the
internet, XP separates them into two files, why is that?
When I send this page to someone else, the text is there
but the pictures are not. Why, and how do I fix it?

Thanks

That is how web pages work. You have a page containing text, with a
placeholder and reference to an external image, which your browser finds and
places in the correct position.

You might be alright if you send both the page and the image (or, better
still, send a link to the required page)...

HTH,

Jon

only by sending 2 objects... the simple truth of the matter is that they are
two separate things... there's nothing you can do about it... the page and
the image are not one and the same!

You didn't give us much to go on really, but,

Have you tried ... Tools . Accounts . Mail . Properties . Advanced.
UNcheck . Break apart ... ?

Or ... Tools Options Security . UNcheck . Do not allow attachments ... ?

Hope one of these helps.

Hi, Daryn!
This is the standard format for "HTML" files, i.e. the page text in one
file + the related pictures in a separate but related folder. When you
send such pages by email, you must send both file + related folder.
The best is to use the IE "File | Send Page by Email" command. Your Web
pages are automatically attached to email messages with the linked
folder.
If you want to have only one single file, you should use the "File |
Save As" command and save your Web pages as "Single Web Archives", i.e.
files with the ".MHT" extension.
