Im running an Asus A7M266 mobo and I have a question! Can I re-install XP
Home over top of my current XP install as a kind of repair install? I have a
few quirky thing wrong Like not being able to use my usb disk-on-key. I read
that it should just re-install and preserve all my settings and data. any
thoughts??? I know a clean install is best but I like to cheat sometimes!!

Take note of all warnings. Backup your data first.

If it's a flash drive - maybe the USB connector on the front of the case is
not 2.0 compatible. I have an Antec case and that was the problem. Antec
was able to send me a new USB port for the case.
