Hi their
I have just upgraded a frineds computer to Windows XP Pro and have problems with a printer that she has
The printer is a Compaq IJ650 InkJet printer, and when I upgraded the OS I ran the installation disk that came with it and it seemed to install with no problems
However when the PC is restarted it continues to prompt me with the New Hardware Installation Wizard and can't seem to stop it from doing this as the printer is already installed! I've even tried to to let Windows complete the Wizard on the recommended and advanced setup functions and it just prompts me for files that don't exist either on the setup disk or otherwise. But it shouldn't need to run this anyway as the printer is already installed using the software installation disk that came with the printer, i've even downloaded latest version of the driver of the internet and ran that and the same thing happens
Any ideas anyone
Many thanks for your help in advance
